A poem about cats

Eyes In the Night
golden moons burning
through the strongest shadow veil,
sliding shadows
through twilighted streets,
always knowing
the next turn in the silent
maze

Hudson aka The Licker

This is one of my two cats. He was named after another black cat we had before him, Hudson. The three words I would use to describe him as, is fat and tremendously lazy. He loves to plop down in the middle of a hall or at a top of a stairwell, which are all places were people move through contently. Hudson rarely moves if you are walking through the area were he plops. When he does move, it is always at the last second, not minute. We, my family, have nicknamed him The Licker. He will lick you if you are willing or not if start pet and/or brush him. If he starts to lick you and you try pull away, his paw will come out to ensnare you hand with the sharp claws to lick you. Hudson is also a coward. Whenever someone knocks on the door he darts to the basement or closest hiding place. He does not like strangers. Hudson loves his dry cat food. When he is hungry he will announce that by meowing loudly making his demands. If you ignore him for to long he will claw, rub, and give you a pitiful look, until you give him food. He will do anything for catnip or treats. Hudson is my fat, adorably lazy cat.

Red, Hot, and Spicy

I like hot, spicy foods. Hot red pepper, like me have a spicy kick, just by it self. In my food, I like the hotter peppers with seeds and all. I also like to add other spices to my food such as; smoked Paprika, Oregano, Sage, Thyme, Cumin, Allspice, and Basel.

Reaching Towards the Sky

Great stone, stand tall, in the crimson canon reach towards the endless sky. They are endlessly battered by the rain and slashed by the razor sharp winds. The rigid stone takes on all challenges tossed at it. They stand tall, the resilient silent peaks that point to the endless blue sky.

Singing Attitude

Birds, more so than most people, have attitudes. They think they are the bossy of any other that comes around. They sing their hearts out to get a girl. They fight over food if they think another has gotten better pickings. Birds sing and have attitudes, making them amusing to watch.

Sweet scent of the Black Rose

Flowers are beautiful pieces of art work made in nature's caring hands. Of all the flowers their are, roses are the most elegant. The subtle smell of the rose is meant to be enjoyed by all. This elegant, graceful flower should not be mess with, for it's blooms are entangled in a prison of thorns.

Cat Lover

I have always have had a cat as a pet, always two at a time. I love them for their attitudes; they can be so human sometimes then go on being as cat like as ever. Cats are soft and enjoy being petted and scratched. Sometimes they can be jumpy and have a guilty look in their eyes; they know that they should not be doing something that they are doing.
